We
had to go to Saudi to get my passport finalized, since Mike works in Saudi
that is where our visa must be. That was an experience. I had
to buy an abaya
Boy if I didn't look funny. In
Saudi the women all wear an abaya. Some cover their hair and face
and others do not. We
drove across the causeway to Saudi
Mid way across there are 2
restaurants. One on the Bahrain side and an identical one as you
cross over to the Saudi side.
We did not go in but they look like the San Antonio Hemisphere
Restaurant.
This is one of the check
points going into Saudi. When
we got to Saudi we went to eat at Chili's.
There is one in Saudi also. Each time I went out I had to put on the
Abaya.
These are some of the photos I took while in Saudi

Shopping Mall In Saudi This
is one of the toilets in the mall ~ you had to step up on the
platform ~ but they also had regular toilets for people like me
...but every toilet in Bahrain and Saudi have some sort of Bidet or spray
hose next to the toilet. The Arabs are very clean people. Also
before going to pray they always wash and there is a place to wash their
feet at the entrance to every Mosque. There are small Mosque's in
the Malls and in Saudi, everything closes down during prayer time.
If you are in a restaurant, you better have been served before the prayer
starts or you just sit there till it is over. Also if you are in the
mall in Saudi and it is one of the prayer times, all the doors to the
different shops close until the prayer time is over ~ which is usually
around 30-45 min.
