To Our Home In Bahrain

This is the front of our house. You press the button and there is a camera. h-outside_frontgate.jpg (19912 bytes) When you press the doorbell (the box to the right of the house #)it activates the monitor inside that shows me who is at the door.  I then press the button and it opens the gate.  Then you walk up the walkway to the front door.  I don't know why you really need this here ~  there is no crime and I am not afraid here like in Houston.

This is in the front You enter the main door and walk up to the front of the house.  There is a marble walkway around the house.

This is the view from my front door looking out to the sea

This is in the front That is a palm tree with dates on it now.

This is at the backof the house.  Mike is standing by the pool taking a picture.  Most of the houses with pools have covers.  The Arabs do this because they are protecting their women.  They do not like them to be seen.

This is standing by the pool facingthe living room.  All of the glass in the house looks like mirrors.  During the day you can't see in.

This is standing by the pool. There is an outdoor shower to wash off after swimming.

This is standing by the poollooking over at the maids quarters.

This is in the backThe right side of the house.

This is standing by the poollooking out at the sea.  In the morning and in the late evening there are a ton of birds ~ crane looking creatures when the tide is out.

This is the maids quartersThere are 2 rooms, a bathroom with shower, a utility room that also has a stove for her to cook on, and a pool room that has the pool equipment.

This is the landlord'sh-arablandlord_acrossthestreet.jpg (28664 bytes)house across the street.  He owns most of the houses on the block and several more in town, but his major business is jewelry ~  He is someone I definitely need to get to know!!!  He has 3 kids ~  the oldest is in college in Texas somewhere.

Well enough of the outdoor photos now let's see the inside.
