2009 Holiday Events (November and December)The biggest community event of its
kind in the area, Tylertown’s Christmas in the Park is a colorful Christmas display of
millions of lights  staged at Holmes Water Park.  Over 25,000 visitors enjoy the display
each year - the park is open seven days a week from 6pm to 8:30pm from Thanksgiving
Day through New Years Eve.  Admission: Cars - $5, Commercial Vans - $10, Passenger
Buses (16+) - $20

The drive through the park has attracted visitors from surrounding communities and is
popular with visitors home for the holidays.  From angels and candles to hundreds of
other displays, the exhibit has been  featured in area newspapers and on television. Many
of the exhibits have special significance such as the W. I. McDonald family's Old
McDonald Farm display, Ty and Bonnie Harvey's airplane with Santa as a pilot and Billy
and Linda Johnson's collection of lighted antique cars.  The churches in the county
worked together to purchase Noah’s Ark and have continues to add animals, two by
two.  Every year a different lighted item may be purchased in memory or in honor of
friends or family.
