Donna and My Trip to
Fredericksburg, TX
October 2009

We started out Wednesday morning and drove to
Fredericksburg. Along the way we stopped at
Berdoll Pecan Farm
It was an amazing
place.
We then stopped in Bastrop for lunch.

We then went to Austin so Donna could draw a bear
for her son-in-law and I played with the girls
while she drew.

Kalen and Piper

Then on to Fredericksburg ~ Through a horrible rain storm
to our cabins ~
Country Inn & Cottages.
It is a great place with
deer and Elk all over the 100 acres.

We lucked out and it stopped raining and we
went downtown to the
Fredericksburg Brewery for dinner ~ it was great!!!!

We walked around downtown a bit and
I noticed this sign ~ instead of saying closed it said:

SHUT ~ I thought that was funny

Then we headed back to our cabin.

for photos of our cabin and the surrounding area
around our cabin and all the elk and deer.

The next morning we met my friend Carletta for breakfast

We went to
Carletta's house and then
went back downtown and did some shopping~ It was a great day!!!
That evening Donna took me to
Der Lindenbaum
for my birthday dinner.

We had some great
German Food.
We then headed
back to our cabin for a nice relaxing evening.
It is such a
peaceful place with the elk just wandering
around and they came very close to the cabins.

The next morning
we headed to the OLD GERMAN BAKERY for
breakfast and then to get down to some serious shopping!!!

Just a pretty house in town.
Our last stop
before leaving was to Fischer & Wieser
it is a really neat place with a ton of items to choose from
Fischer & Wieser Specialty
Foods
